PRECLINICAL MODELS
- Live biobank of 600 primary organoid models of brain tumours
- Live biobank of >45 well-characterised glioma patient-derived orthotopic xenograft and primary organoid models with associated molecular characterisation
- A panel of glioma stem-like cultures and adherent cell lines with associated molecular characterisation
OUR APPLICATIONS
- Target and biomarker identification in brain tumour tissue or in preclinical models (immunohistochemistry, molecular biology)
- Treatment efficacy studies:
- a. In vivo: therapeutic efficacy assessment in PDOXs derived in immunodeficient mice can be combined with MRI-based imaging, survival studies, co-treatment and/or neurosurgery in mice.
- b. Ex vivo: therapeutic efficacy assessment in PDOX-derived organoids or brain tissue slices can be combined with diverse functional and molecular readouts.
- c. In vitro: therapeutic efficacy assessment and functional studies in stem-like cultures and adherent cell lines can be combined with diverse functional and molecular readouts.
- Immunotherapies: Our preclinical models can be applied in advanced set up incorporating human immune compartment i.e., in vivo in humanised mice or in vitro/ex vivo in co-culture systems.
