Accountant Lux Gaap


The Lux Gaap Accountant will mainly be responsible for the following tasks: Accounts payable / Expense reports / Customer accounting support / Point of contact with auditors within area of responsibility

The tasks can be subject to change depending on the needs of the department.


The main activities are, but not limited to :

  • Checking and posting accounting documents: supplier invoices, expenses reports, aged trial balances, preparation of the bi-monthly payments process, etc.
  • Managing reminders
  • Contacts with suppliers
  • Support for accounts receivable
  • Participation in monthly and annual closing activities
  • Contact with auditors during project and statutory audits
  • Back-up for members of the accounting team
  • Participation in the continuous improvement of processes
  • Participation in ERP implementation


Specific qualifications and skills :

  • Higher education in accounting (min. 3 years' higher education)
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years' experience in accounting
  • Knowledge required of VAT accounting, fixed assets and prepaid expenses.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and principles
  •  Experience in cost accounting would be an asset
  • Mastery of MS Office tools, particularly Excel (advanced level)
  • You are autonomous, methodical and rigorous
  • You respect deadlines
  • You are curious and proactive
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and are happy to help your colleagues
  • You are flexible, adapting your working hours to suit the needs of the department
  • Languages: fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
