NextImmune2 will implement an external Advisory Board that will consult the executive committee in questions of strategy, research direction and recruitment of PhD candidates. The DTU’s Advisory Board will be composed of 4 high ranking external international experts from the thematic areas in this DTU. In order to ensure some continuation between NEXTIMMUNE and NextImmune2, two members of the Advisory Board were already part of NEXTIMMUNE:
Prof. Tak W. Mak (http://medbio.utoronto.ca/faculty/mak) (University of Toronto, Canada, one of the most influential and cited immunologists worldwide),
Prof. Cezmi A. Akdis (https://www.siaf.uzh.ch/immunology.html) (Director of the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF), Davos, and University of Switzerland).
In addition, Prof. Tim Sparwasser (https://www.unimedizin-mainz.de/medizinische-mikrobiologie-und-hygiene/forschung/mitarbeiter-cvs/univ-prof-dr-med-tim-sparwasser.html) (Director of the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene, University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Mainz, Germany) will be present as an expert in immunometabolism,
Prof. Friederike Berberich-Siebelt (https://www.pathologie.uni-wuerzburg.de/en/forschung/ag-berberich-siebelt/) (Research group leader ‘Molecular and cellular immunology’ at the University of Würzburg, Institute of Pathology).
