DPO Internship Position (Master Student)

We are looking for an energetic, motivated and dynamic LL.M student for an internship at the Data Protection Office (DPO) of the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH). The Legal Intern will work closely with the DPO’s lawyer in data protection and under the supervision of LIH’s Data Protection Officer.
This represents an excellent opportunity for recent university graduates to gain significant work experience related to data protection in the field of biomedical research.

Key Accountabilities

  • Under the supervision of the Data Protection Officer, the Legal Intern will be in charge of: assisting in the drafting of data protection notices, policies and procedures;
  • Assisting in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of data protection agreements;
  • Providing support with data protection trainings and communication activities;
  • Monitoring ongoing legislative and regulatory changes in the area of privacy & data protection;
  • Researching on a variety of regulatory matters.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Master 2 (or equivalent) law student or graduate from European Union Law School;
  • Knowledge in data protection & privacy;
  • Fluency in English; good knowledge of French would be a plus;
  • Good research, writing, interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to analyze, write and present ideas clearly and concisely;
  • Open minded, solution-oriented, proactive and reliable.
